This tankōbon is written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Yusuke Murata. The score at the end of the first half is 17–10 with the Spiders leading the game. In the last play of the first half, Sena Kobayakawa blocks Kotaro Sasaki's field goal attempt. On the other hand, Hayato Akaba's blocks are unstoppable and it allows his team to score another touchdown.

However, Hayato Akaba because of Bando's "Run Force", a tactic that positions the blockers to induce the runner to choose a certain path, stops Sena Kobayakawa in every other attack. However, in the following play, Yoichi Hiruma is able to delay Hayato Akaba for a few seconds, which allows Sena Kobayakawa to get the ball to score a touchdown. Kotaro Sasaki, the kicker for the Spiders, does an onside kick, Hayato Akaba, the tight end and captain of the Spiders, guarantees the ball possession and then Kotaro scores a field goal and a touchdown the next play. The Bando Spiders' strategy is to not let the Deimon Devil Bats have the ball possession. Also, Sena Kobayakawa reveals to Mamori and the public he is Eyeshield 21. Things do not go well for the Spider, because their ace player, Hayato Akaba could not play, as he was the past tournament’s MVP. This tankōbon continues with the Tokyo Autumn Tournament beginning with the Third Place Playoff match between the Deimon Devil Bats and the Bando Spiders. Eyeshield 21: Sena Kobayakawa continues where the previous tankōbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (152–160) of the on-going manga series.
